Bermuda 1 - Guyana 1; Trinidad and Tobago 4 - Barbados 0

Bermuda hosted group leaders Guyana in Hamilton, knowing that a second successive upset would be necessary to remain in contention for Brasil 2014. Neither team looked particular dangerous in the first half, and the lack of goals reflected this.

In the second period, Bermuda were clearly the better side. Their willingness to attack paid off when they scored off a header from a corner with less than twenty minutes left in the match. Guyana had run out of ideas at that point, so they played a hopeful long ball ten minutes after Bermuda had scored. Somehow, the ball found the head of Ricky Shakes and then the back of the net, giving Guyana a miraculous equalizer and ending Bermuda's FIFA World Cup dreams. Three Bermuda chances in the dying minutes failed to break the deadlock. The two teams wind up drawing 1-1.

Trinidad and Tobago played Barbados in Port of Spain looking to make amends for their loss to Bermuda four days prior. Lester Peltier of AS Trencin in Slovakia scored seven minutes into the proceedings to provide the goal that gave Trinidad a 1-0 halftime lead.

Peltier did not let up after the restart. Peltier had only one international goal coming into the night, but he would leave with four. He scored twice within the first twenty minutes to complete his hat trick and put Trinidad up 3-0. A last gasp goal in regulation time gave Trinidad a 4-0 victory and a chance to catch Guyana over the final two matchdays. In order to advance, Trinidad must collect at worst four points from its two matches against Guyana.
