A disappointed Haiti went home to Port-au-Prince to play their nemeses Antigua and Barbuda. Within the first ten minutes of the game, Haiti found themselves down yet again to Antigua after Tamarley Thomas scored his sixth goal of the tournament. Antigua held the 1-0 lead into the second half.

Haiti finally showed some pride at the hour mark. Haiti scored two goals in six minutes to grab a 2-1 lead and some self-respect back. Kervens Belfort will go down as the man who scored the game-winner as Haiti held strong for the 2-1 victory to end their sour campaign on a high note.

Curacao welcomed U.S. Virgin Islands to Willemstad in search of their second consecutive victory in both teams' final 2014 qualifier. It took Curacao over half an hour to break the deadlock, but they grabbed two in a six-minute span. Goalkeeper Rugenio Josephia was sent off for a red card in minute 41 for the home side, leaving the U.S. Virgin Islands a man up and only two goals down heading into halftime.

The numerical disadvantage at first seemed to unnerve Curacao. Five minutes after the restart, U.S. Virgin Islands scored just their second goal of the group stage to get within 2-1. However, the visitors were unable to creep any closer. With seventeen minutes to go, Curacao found their mojo again. They scored four unanswered goals from that point on to end their campaign with a resounding 6-1 victory.

U.S. Virgin Islands played their final home match of the 2014 FIFA World Cup today in Frederiksted. Curacao put their opponents to the sword early in the match, scoring a trio of goals before a half hour had elapsed. Curacao led 3-0 at the half.

The U.S. Virgin Islands can take pride in their second half performance, however. They held their opponents scoreless for a half for the first time in round two of qualifying, and the 3-0 final scoreline will amount to smallest margin of defeat for the Virgin Islanders in the group stage. Curacao notch their first victory.

Antigua and Barbuda welcomed Haiti into North Sound for the biggest match in the history of Antiguan football. With a win, Antigua would win the group and eliminate Haiti. With anything less, Antigua would be forced to get a result in Haiti on Tuesday. The first half saw no goals.

The second half saw history. Both teams were perhaps somewhat unwilling to go forward: Haiti for willingness to take a draw and play for the win at home, Antigua for fear of being beaten on a counterattack. Kerry Skepple was subbed onto the pitch for Antigua and became the hero of Antiguan football when he scored the goal eight minutes from time that secured Antigua the 1-0 win and their spot in the next round. Antigua now advance to CONCACAF Third Round Group One along with Guatemala, where they will play the United States of America and Jamaica. After five straight wins to open the 2014 FIFA World Cup, Antigua will be looking for further glory come next June.

Haiti hosted Curacao knowing that a win would be needed to keep pace with Antigua and Barbuda. Curacao took the crowd out of the match very early on, scoring two goals in the first quarter hour to silence the Port-au-Prince faithful. Haiti pulled a goal back through a penalty kick midway through the period, but Curacao still held an unexpected 2-1 at the break.

Haiti were desperate to win the match knowing that if they failed, a single poor result against Antigua in the final two matchdays would see Haiti eliminated. After a quarter hour, Haiti had equalized, but it was not enough. A myriad of chances went begging, and Haiti stumbled at home 2-2, giving Curacao its first point of the tournament.

Antigua and Barbuda hosted the hapless U.S. Virgin Islands in North Sound. Tamarley Thomas crushed the Virgin spirits after just over five minutes had elapsed, a goal that was only the tip of the iceberg. Peter Byers knocked home a first-half hat trick, giving Antigua a 4-0 lead going into the break. Byers leads all scorers in the 2014 FIFA World Cup with eight, including two hat tricks against the U.S. Virgin Islands.

In the first thirty-five minutes of the second period, both Thomas and Randolph Burton scored two for Antigua, leaving Thomas with his own hat trick and Antigua with an 8-0 lead. The damage was not complete until two more Antigua players got on the scoresheet in the final five minutes, completing a 10-0 demolition.

The U.S. Virgin Islands, playing at home in Frederiksted, needed to avoid defeat to avoid becoming the first CONCACAF team to be eliminated from the round two of qualifying. This was not to be, however, as Haiti's squad of professionals thrashed the U.S. Virgin Islands in spite of Dillon Pieffer's (pictured, #1) eleven saves in the first half. Haiti scored twice in the first eleven minutes, but had to settle for just a 2-0 lead at halftime.

Haiti showed no mercy in the second half, however, and the Haitians rained in five goals, including two off penalty kicks. Jean-Eudes Maurice of French Ligue 1 side Lens put in a hat trick performance. Another proof of Haiti's dominance was the fact that it won fifteen corner kicks while only facing two shots on goal during the match. The 7-0 loss spelled the end of the qualification hopes for the Virgin Islanders, though they still have three matches to look forward to playing.

Curacao have yet to secure a FIFA World Cup point under their new moniker, and perhaps the magic of the Netherlands Antilles name has escaped them for good. The crowd in Willemstad was hoping for a positive result for the home side against visiting Antigua and Barbuda. The match between the two sides in St. John's went 5-2 to Antigua. The first half today went to no one, 0-0.

Antigua, knowing that a win would be necessary to keep pace with Haiti, pushed a goal across the line with just over fifteen minutes left in the match that proved to be the only score of the day. Antigua wins the match 1-0. Curacao, after dropping their second home game of the tournament, have been sent packing from the 2014 FIFA World Cup, though they still have three games left on the schedule, including two against fellow eliminated U.S. Virgin Islands.

Antigua and Barbuda visited the U.S. Virgin Islands in what is quickly becoming the highest-scoring group in CONCACAF. The small crowd at Frederiksted would be delighted by the number of goals they would see during this contest, but not by the final outcome. The U.S. Virgin Islands hung tough in the first half, surrendering the first goal to Antigua only after more than a quarter hour had elapsed and were only subjected to a second goal against via a penalty conversion by Peter Byers, the very man who had drawn the penalty. Antigua took their 2-0 lead into the locker room.

Apparently, the U.S. Virgin Islands left their belief, heart and desire in the locker room. Antigua scored on their first three shots of the half and had added another four goals within a dozen minutes of the restart, including the final two of Byers's hat trick. Antigua had added its third goal two minutes into the half to take a 3-0 lead. The U.S. Virgin Islands pulled one back a minute later, but Byers struck a minute after that to make the score 4-1. At the hour mark, the game was 6-1. At full time, the match was 8-1, a merciless thrashing by Antigua that places them in great position to win the group with continued good performances.

Curacao hosted group favorites Haiti in Curacao's first home FIFA World Cup qualifier under their new team name. The fans at Willemstad certainly expected a good result from a team that in the 2010 FIFA World Cup qualifiers drew at Haiti 0-0 and only lost 1-0 at home to Haiti after suffering an own goal. Just before the half hour mark, Curacao were able to get a goal against Haiti, something they had not accomplished in the 2010 tournament, and they did so to the tune of a 1-0 lead. However, Haiti knotted the score at one-apiece ten minutes later. However, Curacao drew a penalty kick and converted from the spot to give themselves a 2-1 lead just a couple minutes before the first-half whistle was blown.

The second half marked the end of the party for Curacao. Haiti took thirteen minutes to find the equalizer yet again, but then the Haitians struck again at two minutes later to claim a 3-2 lead. Ten minutes from time, Haiti found a fourth to comfortably see out the remainder of the match and escape with a 4-2 victory and keep pace with Antigua and Barbuda.

Haiti was playing its first home international since the earthquake that devastated the country in January 2010. 15,000 spectators came to support Haiti in Port-au-Prince, the hard-struck capital of the country. Haiti scored not once, not twice, but thrice in each half.

After securing a 3-0 lead at the break, Haiti added another triple set of goals, including two from Real Salt Lake player Jean Alexandre. The 6-0 victory should send a message to Antigua and Barbuda that Haiti are serious contenders to run away with the group. To add injury to insult, the U.S. Virgin Islands lost Jaymi Brown and Reid Klopp to injuries.

Antigua and Barbuda seemed to take note of Haiti's message earlier in the day as they hosted Curacao in North Sound. This was Curacao's first international match under their new moniker, having replaced the Netherlands Antilles tag after a change of status within the government of the Netherlands. Antigua trotted out England-based defender Marc Joseph and midfielder Justin Cochrane for this matchup, but Curacao grabbed a lead after just ten minutes of play. However, it was Joseph who opened the scoring for the home side, equalizing with ten minutes to go in the half. Antigua struck again five minutes later to go into halftime up 2-1.

The second half continued to favor the home side. After ten minutes, Antigua went up 3-1. An answer by Curacao with under twenty minutes to play was immediately countered by an Antigua goal, leaving the scoreline at 4-2. Peter Byers completed a brace for Antigua five minutes from time, and Antigua and Barbuda won 5-2. Next up for Antigua is a visit to the U.S. Virgin Islands, whereas Curacao play at home to Haiti in four days' time.
