November 2013 marks the end of the long journey that is FIFA World Cup qualifying for Brasil 2014. The cycle began in Trinidad and Tobago back on 15 June 2011 and will end on 20 November 2013 in Uruguay. This month, the remaining twenty-two teams across all six confederations will be whittled down to the final eleven qualifiers with the other eleven sides suffering elimination at the final hurdle. Four qualifications and four eliminations will come out of the playoffs in Europe. Five qualifications and five eliminations will come out of the second legs of the final round in Africa. The final two qualifications and two eliminations will take place on the final day of qualifying in the two intercontinental playoff series. The seventeen matches this month will see the field of thirty-two nations finally reveal itself in its entirety ahead of the final draw in December.
