The final four in Oceania will face off in a double round-robin format featuring three pairs of matchdays. The top team in the OFC Third Round advances to the Intercontinental Playoffs against the fourth-place team from CONCACAF. The other three teams will be eliminated from the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
The draw for the fixtures took place in Auckland on 26 June 2012. 2012 OFC Nations Cup winners Tahiti face off against OFC Third Round favorites New Zealand in a home-and-home series in October 2012 in what could prove to be the decisive fixtures. Without the compact schedule and stifling heat with which the teams had to contend during the 2012 OFC Nations Cup, expect New Zealand to advance from the group with Tahiti coming in second place.
